You Must Be Healed Sexually: Part 3

Oyez, Oyez, Oyez Daughters!

In part one of this post, I describe a dream in which I heard the words “You must be healed sexually.” Immediately following those words appeared the face of well-known, female Rhythm & Blues singer, Avery Sunshine. At first, I thought this was a rather odd dream. However, through prayer, I endeavored to know what was being revealed. In part two of the post, I covered what was revealed about the second half of the pseudonym Avery Sunshine. Initially, I thought this would only be a two-part post. However,  I continued to hear additional insights into the words of this dream. Daughters, here’s what I received to share with you.

As previously noted in my exposition of the movies The Color Purple and Harlem Nights, sex still remains one of the most effective distraction tactics against opponents at war. I hear King David’s words echo in my head.

“Purge me with hyssop, and I shall be clean: wash me, and I shall be whiter than snow.”

Psalm 51:7 King James Version

In this verse, King David is lamenting over the realization of his sins. David had a man name Uriah killed. Uriah worked as a soldier in David’s army. Uriah had a wife named Bathsheba. David ordered Uriah killed because David impregnated her but wanted Uriah to return from battle to have sex with his wife so it would appear the child was conceived during Uriah’s visit home. Uriah was very loyal to David, so he declined David’s offer and stayed on the battlefield. After Uriah’s death, David experienced regret and shame for his actions. Also, the child David and Bathsheba conceived died. In his grief, David poured out his emotions in this Psalm, a sacred song.

“Have mercy on me, O God, because of your unfailing love. Because of your great compassion, blot out the stain of my sins. For I recognize my rebellion; it haunts me day and night. Wash me clean from my guilt. Purify me from my sin. Against you, and you alone, have I sinned; I have done what is evil in your sight. You will be proved right in what you say, and your judgment against me is just. For I was born a sinner— yes, from the moment my mother conceived me. But you desire honesty from the womb, teaching me wisdom even there. [Purge me with hyssop, and I shall be clean: wash me, and I shall be whiter than snow]. Oh, give me back my joy again; you have broken me— now let me rejoice. Don’t keep looking at my sins. Remove the stain of my guilt. Do not banish me from your presence, and don’t take your Holy Spirit from me. Create in me a clean heart, O God. Renew a loyal spirit within me. Restore to me the joy of your salvation, and make me willing to obey you. Then I will teach your ways to rebels, and they will return to you. Forgive me for shedding blood, O God who saves; then I will joyfully sing of your forgiveness. Unseal my lips, O Lord, that my mouth may praise you. You do not desire a sacrifice, or I would offer one. You do not want a burnt offering. The sacrifice you desire is a broken spirit. You will not reject a broken and repentant heart, O God. Look with favor on Zion and help her; rebuild the walls of Jerusalem. Then you will be pleased with sacrifices offered in the right spirit— with burnt offerings and whole burnt offerings. Then bulls will again be sacrificed on your altar.”

Psalm 51:1-19 New Living Translation

The words “Psalms 51"  appeared in a dream. These words appeared soon after I asked God to reveal how I arrived at a place of disappointment, desperation, and divorce. I asked God to forgive me for my sins and to help others forgive me for the sins I committed against them. This was the beginning of my washing and training process on how to hear God's voice. This Psalm became a tool used to reveal God's truth; not the world’s version of the truth. His knowledge, wisdom, and insight have increased exponentially ever since.

Verse 7 captured me. “Purge me with hyssop, and I shall be clean. Wash me, and I shall be whiter than snow.” I heard a call to explore in more detail why David requested God purge him with Hyssop. Hyssop was being used as a metaphor and allusion expressing the effectiveness of Hyssop's cleansing ability.  At the root of David’s sin was lust, which is generally recognized as a pathway to sexual sin. However, lust is more broad reaching. But, I’ll come back to that point shortly. Webster’s Dictionary defines purge as to cleanse or purify by separating and carrying off whatever is impure, heterogeneous, foreign or superfluous; as to purge the body by evacuation; to purge the Augean stable (requiring so much effort it almost seems impossible). David requested God divide and do away with whatever did not belong in his life, in all of its varied forms. He asked God to divide and do away with whatever was unnecessary. David’s prayer to God was essentially inviting God to uproot his life. Initially, I'm sure he didn't realize the magnitude of his request. This was a request for God to do a major overhaul in every area of David’s life. There would be no detail overlooked. I believe this is why David and Bathsheba’s child did not survive. The child they conceived together was unlawful. The woman with whom he conceived the child was not his lawful wife. Therefore every action henceforth nullified their relationship. The world will say, “But it was a child. Why would God allow an innocent child to die? That seems harsh.” Yes, it does to those who do not understand the enormity and seriousness of God’s commands. Please know I am not making light of a child dying, nor am I making a case to say that every child that dies is a result of some kind of sin. Consequently, this text shows God enacting a sentence or judgment in the court of his kingdom based upon His established legislation. This is very hard to digest. I know. But I speak to you as a messenger who has experienced the depth of his insight, and the rod of his correction. Knowledge and insight can save your life. God's words have saving power. He confirms this fact in the book of Hosea which states:

“My people are being destroyed because they don’t know me.

[My people are destroyed for lack of knowledge: because thou hast rejected knowledge I will also reject thee]

Since you priests refuse to know me, I refuse to recognize you as my priests.

[That thou shalt be no priest to me]

Since you have forgotten the laws of your God, I will forget to bless your children.

[Seeing thou hast forgotten the law of thy God, I will also forget thy children]

Hosea 4:6 New Living Translation/King James Version

This verse is major! First, it confirms that God did, in fact, hear David’s prayer. His prayer was not ignored. His lamentation reached God’s heart although he had broken His heart by killing Uriah and stealing Uriah’s wife. I think it’s worth letting this realization sink in for a moment. This revelation is heavy.

David asked God to divide and do away with whatever did not belong inside of him and did not belong in his life in all of its varied forms, and he asked God to divide and do away with whatever was unnecessary.

David asked God to divide and do away with whatever did not belong inside of him and did not belong in his life in all of its varied forms, and he asked God to divide and do away with whatever was unnecessary.

David asked God to divide and do away with whatever did not belong inside of him and did not belong in his life in all of its varied forms, and he asked God to divide and do away with whatever was unnecessary.

As I reflect on this passage, I see everything that has been removed from my life. I see every unnecessary institution, ideology, belief, thing, place, person, image, desire, character, motive, and relationship fleshed out as a result of my purification process. David asked God six things before he arrived at verse 7. Let’s briefly review them.

  1. Have mercy on me, O God, because of your unfailing love.

  2. Because of your great compassion, blot out the stain of my sins because I recognize my rebellion; it haunts me day and night.

  3. Wash me clean from my guilt.

  4. Purify me from my sin because against you, and you alone, have I sinned; I have done what is evil in your sight.

  5. You will be proved right in what you say, and your judgment against me is just because I was born a sinner— yes, from the moment my mother conceived me.

  6. But you desire honesty from the womb, teaching me wisdom even there.

We see that David asked for mercy and forgiveness, combined with a deep awareness and acknowledgment of how much he’d blown it. He confessed his failure without any excuses, flowery language or justification. It was black and white. David realized he had made a mess of his life with these choices. Period.  He acknowledged that God is serious about real honesty and transparency. He’s showing us that not telling the truth started at the time of his conception. Although the Bible does not provide specific details about David’s mother, I would consider that David discovered information about his origins at some point in his adult life. I would consider maybe his mother violated God’s command by his conception, just as he violated God’s command with conceiving a child in adultery with Bathsheba. He acknowledged that God wants the truth to be told from the place where life is created - the womb. The womb must be honest. It must be pure. Bathsheba’s womb was not honest. It was not pure. A womb is honest and pure when it is carrying the life of a child that was conceived in honesty; not deception or lust. I believe this was the merciful justice of God in David’s life. God knew the details of David’s birth. He knew the womb in which he was carried. Because God requires honesty from the beginning of where life is created and nurtured, He knew if that place was not honest and pure that everything else that followed would be a product of the beginning. We are the fruit of our beginning, and everything else that follows is exponentially multiplied.

“Now be fruitful and multiply, and repopulate the earth.”

Genesis 9:7 New Living Translation

We are the fruit of our beginning, and everything else that follows is exponentially multiplied.

We are the fruit of our beginning, and everything else that follows is exponentially multiplied.

We are the fruit of our beginning, and everything else that follows is exponentially multiplied.

Returning to the concept of lust, let’s see what God says about it.

“This is what the Sovereign Lord says: Because you have poured out your lust and exposed yourself in prostitution to all your lovers, and because you have worshiped detestable idols, and because you have slaughtered your children as sacrifices to your gods, this is what I am going to do. I will gather together all your allies—the lovers with whom you have sinned, both those you loved and those you hated—and I will strip you naked in front of them so they can stare at you. I will punish you for your murder and adultery. I will cover you with blood in my jealous fury.”

Galatians 5:19-21 (NLT)

“When you follow the desires of your sinful nature, the results are very clear: sexual immorality, impurity, lustful pleasures idolatry, sorcery, hostility, quarreling, jealousy, outbursts of anger, selfish ambition, dissension, division, envy, drunkenness, wild parties, and other sins like these. Let me tell you again, as I have before, that anyone living that sort of life will not inherit the Kingdom of God.”

Ephesians 4:19 (NLT)

“They have no sense of shame. They live for lustful pleasure and eagerly practice every kind of impurity.”

Numbers 11:34 (King James Verison/KJV)

“And he called the name of that place Kibroth–hattaavah: because there they buried the people that lusted.”

Easton’s Bible Dictionary  defines lust as a sinful longing; the inward sin which leads to the falling away from God. Webster’s Dictionary defines lust as an eagerness to possess or enjoy, or the lust of gain. There are several words in both the Hebrew and Greek languages for the word lust. Strongs Concordance  references the Hebrew word shrîyrûwth as twisted, as in a twisted imagination, stubbornness or inflexibility. It’s root word shârar, means to be hostile, or to be an enemy. The Hebrew word châmad means to desire or desire greatly, to delight or take pleasure in.  Brown Driver Biggs  defines the Hebrew word nephesh as the breathing substance or being, soul, the inner being of [a person], activity of the mind, the seat of emotions and passions, activity of the will, activity of the character and activity of the mind. Its root word nâphash means to refresh oneself. The Hebrew word taʼăvâh means a desire, wish, the longing of one’s heart, appetite, covetousness in the bad sense, a thing desired, or an object of desire. The Greek form of the word lust is epithumeō meaning to turn upon a thing and those who seek forbidden things and to set the heart upon a thing rightfully or otherwise. Its root word derives from two words epi, meaning towards or upon and thumos including its root word thuō meaning fierce indignation; passion as in breathing hard, wrath, boiling anger, heat, and rush to kill or sacrifice. Epithumia means a longing, craving or desire for what is forbidden. Additionally, the Greek word orexis meaning excitement of the mind that is longing after, an eager desire, appetite used in both a good and bad sense, even lawful and proper cravings or appetite for food, and also corrupt and lawful desires. The word is derived from oregomai which means to stretch one's self out in order to touch or to grasp something, to reach after or desire something, to reach out after, or to give oneself up for the love of money. The root word oros means to rise or to lift above the plain, as in lifting above a hill or mountain. Lastly, pathos, this is probably where we get the English word pathology, derives from the word paschō, pathō or penthō meaning to experience a painful sensation or impression, an affliction of the mind, emotion, a vile passion, a feeling which the mind suffers, to suffer, or to vex.

Having established clarity on lust, we have a good foundation to begin uncovering the significance of David’s request to be purged using Hyssop. Hebrew word for Hyssop is êzôwb which means a plant used for medicinal and religious purposes. The Greek form of the word Hyssop is hussōpos and means a plant used by the Hebrews in their ritual sprinklings. In the book of 1 Kings chapter 4 verse 33, Hyssop is referenced as a plant "springing out of the wall.” The plant was used for sprinkling blood on the posts of the doors of Israelite people being delivered from Pharoah's Egyptian bondage in what came to be known as Passover. This act served as a sign the Israelites would be protected from the death plague as it passed over their homes.

“Then the Lord said to Moses, “I will strike Pharaoh and the land of Egypt with one more blow. After that, Pharaoh will let you leave this country. In fact, he will be so eager to get rid of you that he will force you all to leave. Moses had announced to Pharaoh, “This is what the Lord says: At midnight tonight I will pass through the heart of Egypt. All the firstborn sons will die in every family in Egypt, from the oldest son of Pharaoh, who sits on his throne, to the oldest son of his lowliest servant girl who grinds the flour. Even the firstborn of all the livestock will die. Then a loud wail will rise throughout the land of Egypt, a wail like no one has heard before or will ever hear again. But among the Israelites it will be so peaceful that not even a dog will bark. Then you will know that the Lord makes a distinction between the Egyptians and the Israelites.”

Exodus 11:1,4-7 New Living Translation

“They are to take some of the blood and smear it on the sides and top of the doorframes of the houses where they eat the animal [unblemished sacrificial lamb].

On that night I will pass through the land of Egypt and strike down every firstborn son and firstborn male animal in the land of Egypt. I will execute judgment against all the gods of Egypt, for I am the Lord ! But the blood on your doorposts will serve as a sign, marking the houses where you are staying. When I see the blood, I will pass over you. This plague of death will not touch you when I strike the land of Egypt.”

Exodus 12:17,2-13 New Living Translation

“Then Moses called all the elders of Israel together and said to them, “Go, pick out a lamb or young goat for each of your families, and slaughter the Passover animal. Drain the blood into a basin. Then take a bundle of hyssop branches and dip it into the blood. Brush the hyssop across the top and sides of the doorframes of your houses. And no one may go out through the door until morning. For the Lord will pass through the land to strike down the Egyptians. But when he sees the blood on the top and sides of the doorframe, the Lord will pass over your home. He will not permit his death angel to enter your house and strike you down. “Remember, these instructions are a permanent law that you and your descendants must observe forever. When you enter the land the Lord has promised to give you, you will continue to observe this ceremony. Then your children will ask, ‘What does this ceremony mean?’ And you will reply, ‘It is the Passover sacrifice to the Lord , for he passed over the houses of the Israelites in Egypt. And though he struck the Egyptians, he spared our families.’” When Moses had finished speaking, all the people bowed down to the ground and worshiped. So the people of Israel did just as the Lord had commanded through Moses and Aaron. And that night at midnight, the Lord struck down all the firstborn sons in the land of Egypt, from the firstborn son of Pharaoh, who sat on his throne, to the firstborn son of the prisoner in the dungeon. Even the firstborn of their livestock were killed. Pharaoh and all his officials and all the people of Egypt woke up during the night, and loud wailing was heard throughout the land of Egypt. There was not a single house where someone had not died.”

Exodus 12:21-30

It is paramount to note the Hyssop plant was used by the Roman soldier to give Jesus a bitter drink as he hung on the cross.

“Jesus knew that his mission was now finished, and to fulfill Scripture he said, “I am thirsty. A jar of sour wine [vinegar] was sitting there, so they soaked a sponge in it, put it on a hyssop branch, and held it up to his lips. When Jesus had tasted it, he said, “It is finished!” Then he bowed his head and gave up his spirit. One of the soldiers, however, pierced his side with a spear, and immediately blood and water flowed out.”

John 19:28-30,34 New Living Translation

The sour wine the soldier handed to Jesus using the Hyssop branch was vinegar mixed with gall. The vinegar was a light wine that turned acidic. The vinegar or wine was made bitter by mixing it with some other bitter substance such as myrrh, wormwood or poppy that would anesthetize the pain. Gall has several meanings all of which may have been used interchangeably in describing a type of bitterness. New Oxford American Dictionary defines gall as a substance secreted by the gallbladder, an organ beneath the liver. It is also defined as a sore made on the skin by annoyance or impatience because of a restriction or inconvenience. And, lastly, gall is defined as an abnormal growth formed on plants and trees, especially oaks, in response to the presence of insect larvae, mites, or fungi. I see this is as the origin or formation of diseases; abnormal growths or tumors, skin diseases, sexually transmitted diseases and the like because of the annoyance,  impatience, restriction, and the inconvenience of adhering to God’s commands.

“The Lord saw this and drew back, provoked to anger by his own sons and daughters. He said, ‘I will abandon them; then see what becomes of them. For they are a twisted generation, children without integrity. I will weaken them with famine, burning fever, and deadly disease. I will send the fangs of wild beasts and poisonous snakes that glide in the dust. Outside, the sword will bring death, and inside, terror will strike both young men and young women, both infants and the aged. Their vine grows from the vine of Sodom, from the vineyards of Gomorrah. Their grapes are poison, and their clusters are bitter. Their wine is the venom of serpents, the deadly poison of cobras. Look now; I myself am he! There is no other god but me! I am the one who kills and gives life; I am the one who wounds and heals; no one can be rescued from my powerful hand!”

Deuteronomy 32:19-20,24-25,32-33,39

They gave him vinegar to drink mingled with gall: and when he had tasted thereof, he would not drink.”

Matthew 27:34 King James Version

And they gave him to drink wine mingled with myrrh: but he received it not.”

Mark 15:23 King James Version

In a similar fashion, like the Hebrew and Greek words for lust, there are several Hebrew and Greek for the word gall. The Hebrew word for gall is mrêrâh  and mrôrâh which means bile from bitterness, poison or venom of a serpent. It derives from the word mârar  meaning to make or cause to be bitter. The prefix mar means bitterness, bitter oneself, be enraged, to be strong, bitter water or food, cry, pain, end of wickedness, of harlot’s end; to cause to trickle, a drop, flowing down, in the sense of distillation, the process of purifying a liquid by heating and cooling, or the process of extracting the essential meaning or most important aspects of something. The Hebrew word rôʼsh means a poisonous plant probably the poppy plant from its conspicuous head or generally poison including the poison of serpents. Additionally, the Hebrew word min mrôrâh means a part of bitterness, or from bitterness or out of bitterness. The origin of the preposition min comes from the Hebrew word mên meaning apart; hence a musical chord, as parted or separated into strings. The Greek word for gall is cholē and is associated with a Christian female from Corinth. I I Corinthians 1:11  notes members of Chloe’s household were divided and quarreling. The name Chloe means green or greenish hue. However, the word cholē means a poison, bile, bitter things, or an anodyne (Greek word anōdunos) meaning without pain which is not likely to provoke dissent or offense; inoffensive, often deliberately or a pain-killing drug.

Hyssop was the tool David requested to be cleansed. Hyssop was the tool used to extend Yeshua [Jesus] a drink to quench his thirst. David accepted the tool that was used to offer him bitterness. Yeshua declined the tool that was offered to quench his thirst. Bitterness was the tool used to purge everything that didn’t belong in David’s heart, mind, body, soul, life, and home.  This purging process also affected Bathsheba, David's wife. She lost a child. Bitterness was the venom left by a serpent. The sting of a serpent is deadly. The serpent hisses or whispers things in your ear that are contrary to God’s commands. The serpent was doing this beguiling dance with Adam and Eve in the garden. The man and the woman’s only task was to tend and protect the garden. However, if you want to remove a soldier or guard from his or her post how would you do that? You would distract the guard while you complete your mission of stealing, killing, and destroying. The serpent thoroughly surveyed and studied the landscape. He was very observant. He was strategic. He established the best location and time to attack and chose the guard with the least amount of strength. He saw that he could take down the weaker vessel - the woman. The serpent disarmed the woman through a seemingly harmless interaction - a conversation. Having a conversation is not sex, but for a woman, it is surely a doorway to sex. The serpent knew the man was not engaged. This is how the serpent was able to succeed in his plot to remove the garden keepers. The serpent’s tactics began with surface conversation which led to a more intimate conversation which caused the woman to spend more time with the serpent. The more time she spent with the serpent the easier it became for the serpent to twist her thoughts and her words. Now that the serpent had effectively destabilized the woman’s thought process and morals, he could effectively whisper a suggestion. The suggestion figuratively mixed a concoction like gall, the drink consumed by strong soldiers and the drink offered to those who were going to be put to death. The serpent successfully extended this bitter concoction to a suffering woman as a means alleviating her pain. What was Eve’s pain? We don’t know specifically. But we can surmise that she was learning how to tend the garden with Adam. She was learning how to navigate living with a man. The man and woman were given clear instructions. No further choice was necessary. But the serpent found a way to engage the woman in a dialogue that made her question the original instruction. The serpent knew her bewilderment was made possible by her ignorance of The Creator; the Chief musician that placed her in the garden with the man from whom she was shaped. The serpent was cunning. He was skilled in this area. The woman was naive.  She was green and inexperienced in the cunning nature of a serpent. Adam was still very new at protecting the woman and the garden. He was still learning as well. Although Adam was still learning the ropes, he was the strongest of the two in understanding the nature of navigating the garden. He was the first human The Creator placed in the garden. Naturally,  Adam was more experienced than Eve. Removing Adam and Eve from the garden is proof the woman’s innate structure was not designed to navigate the garden without Adam. The woman believed, she alone, could handle the conversation with the serpent. But the serpent was too crafty. Eve needed Adam’s experience. Adam needed to intervene so the serpent could see Eve was protected and could not manipulate her naivety. The woman needed Adam to show up and kick the serpent out of the garden!

The serpent was the shrewdest of all the wild animals the Lord God had made. One day he asked the woman, “Did God really say you must not eat the fruit from any of the trees in the garden?” “Of course we may eat fruit from the trees in the garden,” the woman replied. “It’s only the fruit from the tree in the middle of the garden that we are not allowed to eat. God said, ‘You must not eat it or even touch it; if you do, you will die.’” “You won’t die!” the serpent replied to the woman. “God knows that your eyes will be opened as soon as you eat it, and you will be like God, knowing both good and evil.” The woman was convinced. She saw that the tree was beautiful and its fruit looked delicious, and she wanted the wisdom it would give her. So she took some of the fruit and ate it. Then she gave some to her husband, who was with her, and he ate it, too.”

Genesis 3:1-6 New living Translation

There was and still remains only One being more powerful than both the man and the woman who can take-down the serpent.

There was and still remains only One being more powerful than both the man and the woman who can take-down the serpent.

There was and still remains only One being more powerful than both the man and the woman who can take-down the serpent.

Because the man did not protect the naive woman from the serpent, he was removed from the garden along with his wife. The man failed to teach the instructions the Creator gave him to his wife. The man knew how to identify each creature in the garden; he named them! This means he had the skills set to identify the traits of each creature. A name represents the character. Adam knew the character of each living creature in the garden. The garden illustrates that we are all connected to all living organisms on the earth. Adam’s sin was he did not follow the initial instruction. He was instructed to tend the garden, including Eve. Eve’s sin was that she did not know the character of the one who gave the instruction, and she did not stop the conversation with the serpent to allow Adam to handle the serpent. Eve’s independent spirit, a blessing in context, was a curse out of context. Eve not fully knowing the instructions or the instruction giver caused both her and Adam to fail. Daughters, if a serpent begins a conversation with you, run, don’t walk. Go and get your husband! If you are not married, run to your Heavenly Father. This triple braided chord is your protection. Never ever untie it. Never. Ironically, when The Creator put a foundation in place, there was no vegetation on the earth. From experience, we know that plants and vegetation need assistance. Some plants grow wild, but many need to be cultivated. At this realization, Adam and Eve became a team in cultivating the earth.

“This is the account of the creation of the heavens and the earth. When the Lord God made the earth and the heavens, neither wild plants nor grains were growing on the earth. For the Lord God had not yet sent rain to water the earth, and there were no people to cultivate the soil. Instead, springs came up from the ground and watered all the land. Then the Lord God formed the man from the dust of the ground. He breathed the breath of life into the man’s nostrils, and the man became a living person. Then the Lord God planted a garden in Eden in the east, and there he placed the man he had made. The Lord God made all sorts of trees grow up from the ground—trees that were beautiful and that produced delicious fruit. The Lord God placed the man in the Garden of Eden to tend and watch over it. But the Lord God warned him, “You may freely eat the fruit of every tree in the garden— except the tree of the knowledge of good and evil. If you eat its fruit, you are sure to die.” Then the Lord God said, “It is not good for the man to be alone. I will make a helper who is just right for him.” So the Lord God formed from the ground all the wild animals and all the birds of the sky. He brought them to the man to see what he would call them, and the man chose a name for each one. He gave names to all the livestock, all the birds of the sky, and all the wild animals. But still there was no helper just right for him. So the Lord God caused the man to fall into a deep sleep. While the man slept, the Lord God took out one of the man’s ribs and closed up the opening. Then the Lord God made a woman from the rib, and he brought her to the man. “At last!” the man exclaimed. “This one is bone from my bone, and flesh from my flesh! She will be called ‘woman,’ because she was taken from ‘man.’” This explains why a man leaves his father and mother and is joined to his wife, and the two are united into one.”

Genesis 2:4-9, 15-24 New Living Translation

As I reflect on the magnitude of Psalms 51, I had no clue God was going to take me on an amazing journey to experience to discover treasures in His word. Amazing! I remember saying to God "I need you to break it down to me like I'm a three." I needed God to make His words plain because I couldn't build on fairy dust. I asked God to explain to me the concept of His kingdom and the concept of faith. I believe He has delivered a million times over. The Creator’s wisdom is beyond extraordinary. Daughters, I am proof. The Creator revealed to me the sordid details of my sins and how they came to be. Now, He’s called me to share with you the gift of His knowledge, wisdom, and discernment. He’s called me to share the gift of His salvation through these expositions. Through David’s song, I see I was very naive. I was green in the matters of life, men, sexuality, and the schemes of the adversarial spirit; the serpent. Tasting forbidden fruit is very bitter. It leaves a taste in your mouth that you never want to taste again. It’s an experience you don’t want anyone else to have as well, not even your worst enemy. Jesus refused the drink. He knew just how bitter it could be. The soldiers used Hyssop branches to serve Jesus poison to quench his thirst, anguish, and grief. There is absolutely nothing about this drink that quenches anyone’s thirst or relieves suffering. Jesus [Yeshua] knew this and refused to be anesthetized with poison. He chose to endure the pain of the salvation process. Psalm 51 opening with David’s salutation, “To the Chief Musician, A Psalm of David," is a beautiful reminder that The Creator is deeply involved in the process of creating every sacred song; even the bitter ones.

A Prayer of Awareness of The Creator’s Order

And may [Yahweh, Jehovah Elohim, The Creator, I AM, Redeemer, Source of All Truth, Father of Lights, Heavenly Father, Deliver, and Shepherd]

May you continue to provide all that I need.

May you continue to let me rest in green meadows.

May you continue to lead me beside peaceful streams.

May you continue to renew my strength.

May you continue to guide me along right paths, bringing honor to your name.

Even [in the midst of the darkest valley, May you continue to help me not be afraid, please stay very close beside me.

May your rod and your staff continue to protect and comfort me.

May you continue to prepare a feast for me in the presence of my enemies.

May you continue to honor me by anointing my head with oil.

May you continue to allow my cup to overflow with blessings.

Surely your goodness and unfailing love will continuously pursue me all the days of my life, and May I continue to live your house, the house of Yahweh forever.

Psalms 23:1-6 New Living Translation

And so shall it be.

You Must Be Healed Sexually: Part 2

Oyez, Oyez, Oyez Daughters!

“When Jesus [Yeshua] saw her, he called her over and said, “Dear woman, you are healed of your sickness!” This dear woman, a daughter of Abraham, has been held in bondage by Satan for eighteen years. Isn’t it right that she be released, even on the Sabbath?”

Luke 13:12,16 New Living Translation

In this post, I will reveal insights about the second half of the pseudonym Avery Sunshine. In part one of this post, I describe a dream in which I heard the words “you must be healed sexually.” Immediately following those words appeared the face of well-known, female R & B singer, Avery Sunshine. At first, I thought this was a rather odd dream. However, through prayer, I endeavored to know what was being revealed. Here’s what I received to share with daughters.

As previously noted, Avery Sunshine is a pseudonym which comprises a blend of two female movie characters, Shug Avery and Sunshine. Shug Avery (“Shug”) is a character from the movie “The Color Purple,” and Sunshine is a character from the movie “Harlem Nights.” The premise behind the name The Color Purple is that the color purple is such a beautiful and powerful color it cannot be ignored, and Harlem Nights illustrates that sex is still the most effective distraction tactic against opponents at war.

“His words are as smooth as butter, but in his heart is war. His words are as soothing as lotion, but underneath are daggers!”

Psalms 55:21 New Living Translation

Sunshine was “a lady of the night.” She was hired by night club owners, Sugar Ray and Vernest Brow, affectionately known as “Quick.” They were a father and son team who ran an illegal after-hours place replete with gambling and a brothel house beneath their candy shop called “Sugar Ray’s.” They hired Sunshine as part of a ploy to rob Bugsy Calhoun’s gambling booking houses. Booking houses are organizations that accept and make bets from gamblers, and pay off bets for various events based upon agreed upon terms. Sugar Ray and Quick used Sunshine’s sexiness to distract Calhoun’s “bag man” Richie Vinto while they executed the robbery. A bag man is a go-between that picks up and delivers money. Sunshine and Richie sleep together, and afterward Sunshine tells Richie she has to leave because she has a “pick-up” she must do. Sunshine then goes on to tell him about what she did for a living. She told Richie that she was a numbers runner and that she picked up numbers from one place and took them to another. However, the story she presents to him was a lie. She then makes it appear that the story she told him was a story that she was nervous to tell Richie as she thought that might make him lose respect for her. She breathed a sigh of relief as he demonstrated sincere compassion for her struggle. This, in turn, allowed Richie to feel more at ease because he noticed she too felt ashamed about how she earned a living. Meanwhile, he’s hiding a secret from Sunshine that he delivers money for Bugsy Calhoun, a well-known gangster. It appears Sunshine and Richie had found “true love” with each other and could see themselves planning a future together. Whatever, Sunshine “put on” Richie, caused him to call his wife and tell her that he “wasn’t coming home no more.” Richie was in love! Richie was in love with someone that had not disclosed their true identity and intentions. Sunshine brought out emotions Richie suppressed. Richie shed a tear when Sunshine told him she thought she was falling in love with him. Sunshine was forbidden. She was black and a prostitute. He was white and married. Sunshine flattered Richie simply by noticing him. Sunshine was sweet. She was endearing. She engaged him in conversation. Sunshine provided Richie with something he was unaware he was missing. Cupid had done his work, or should I say an enemy had done his work. Underneath this “true love” fantasy is the undercurrent of deception. The fact still remained, Sunshine was a prostitute disguised as a numbers runner, and Richie was married. Sunshine represented an adversarial spirit determined to take down Calhoun by any means necessary. The goal was resolute; disarm the bag man using sex.

“These people are false apostles. They are deceitful workers who disguise themselves as apostles of Christ. But I am not surprised! Even Satan disguises himself as an angel of light. So it is no wonder that his servants also disguise themselves as servants of righteousness. In the end they will get the punishment their wicked deeds deserve.”

2 Corinthians 11:13-15 New Living Translation

Following the “love birds’” heart-to-heart disclosure, Richie asked Sunshine when he could see her again. Sunshine mentioned she had a pick-up to do that evening. Richie agreed to pick her up at an agreed upon time and location. Soon after, they were rear-ended by an older couple who were Sugar Ray's and Quick's co-conspirators. Sugar Ray and Quick, disguised as police officers, arranged a car collision that provided a diversion to grab Calhoun’s money. However, the plot was intercepted by the unexpected arrival of two legitimate white police officers who arrived on the scene and pulled rank. Sugar Ray and Quick, while still disguised as police officers, searched Richie’s car, and retrieved Calhoun’s contraband.  When they pulled one of the bags from the trunk, they let Richie know that heroin was in the bag. Sugar Ray and Quick then disclose to Richie that he had “Lady Heroin” riding in his car. Ritchie discovers that Sunshine was an imposter.  The truth of her identity awakened him from a deep sleep; a cleverly-crafted deception under the guise of companionship and love. Richie was bewildered at this discovery. The white police officers arrest Sunshine. After Richie disclosed to the white police officers that he worked for Calhoun, the police officers let Richie go. Sugar Ray's and Quick’s elaborate scheme appeared to have failed when the legitimate police officers arrived. However, Sugar Ray and Quick devised an alternate plan. They bribed the two white police officers with the money they stole from Calhoun. The irony is the two legitimate police offers were also on Calhoun’s payroll.

“For when a strong man is fully armed and guards his palace, his possessions are safe—until someone even stronger attacks and overpowers him, strips him of his weapons, and carries off his belongings. Anyone who isn’t with me opposes me, and anyone who isn’t working with me is actually working against me.”

Luke 11:21 New Living Translation

Moreover, even though everyone involved in this ploy to take-down Calhoun was technically a criminal, the only one that was arrested was the seductress, Sunshine. There is a backstory in every movie worth exploring. This gives each character tremendous depth as one analyzes a character’s motives and intentions. The story is never black and white. There are always shades of gray challenging the viewer to pick a side. Will you support the protagonist or the antagonist? Will you view the circumstances that shaped that character to make the character real as you watch their choices play out on screen. Sunshine took the fall for everyone’s deceptive behavior. Sunshine was simply doing what she was hired to do - charm and gratify, at an agreed-upon price. Somewhere along the way, Sunshine believed that’s all she was worth. Somewhere along the way she believed the lie that she needed to sacrifice her body to secure love. Sunshine became the sacrificial offering for this cast of deceivers. She was not innocent, but neither did she initiate this elaborate scheme. We will never know if a ram-in-a-bush was suddenly supplied for our beloved Sunshine. But we do know she was used by everyone involved.

“…They will play the prostitute and gain nothing from it…”

Hosea 4:10 New Living Translation

Another interesting insight about this movie is that once Calhoun discovered Sugar Ray and Quick had stolen his money, naturally, he wanted revenge. However, Sugar Ray and Quick knew the game and how it was played. Sugar Ray and Calhoun lured Calhoun and his crew to Sugar Ray’s house where they were blown to pieces. Sugar Ray and Quick had finally destroyed Calhoun and his crew. Their arch-enemy and his chariots were drowned in the proverbial Red Sea. However, here’s the part that I find extremely revealing about this deceptive clan. As I see this movie and its characters through the lens of the war between good and evil, God and The Satan/Serpent/Fallen Angel that has ensued for millenniums, the truth is vividly summarized in the last scene of the movie. Sugar Ray, Quick, and their co-conspirators packed up all their belongings prepared to leave town, and Quick says this amazingly profound line - “So where will we go next, pop?

“Stay alert! Watch out for your great enemy, the devil. He prowls around like a roaring lion, looking for someone to devour.”

1 Peter 5:8 New Living Translation

We don’t know to what city Sugar Ray, Quick, and his co-conspirators relocated. But wherever they were headed they had gassed up cars and a pocket full of money. The movie ends with Sugar Ray and Quick accepting they will never be able to return to Harlem and they set their sights on a new city to rebuild and do business

“When an evil [unclean] spirit leaves a person, it goes into the desert, searching for rest. But when it finds none, it says, ‘I will return to the person I came from.’ So it returns and finds that its former home is all swept and in order. Then the spirit finds seven other spirits more evil than itself, and they all enter the person and live there. And so that person is worse off than before.”'

Luke 11:24-26 New Living Translation

The adversary, the satan, the enemy, the devil, or whatever name you choose to identify with a spirit that is unclean, deceptive, dark, and adversarial, originates with the father or creator of lies. We see this spirit operating in and through the experiences of each character in Harlem Nights and The Color Purple

“For you are the children of your father the devil, and you love to do the evil things he does. He was a murderer from the beginning. He has always hated the truth, because there is no truth in him. When he lies, it is consistent with his character; for he is a liar and the father of lies.”

The common theme is a deception; hiding the truth because of some form of shame. Deceiving others through naivety and charm has been a constant theme since the fall of Adam and Eve.

“History merely repeats itself. It has all been done before. Nothing under the sun is truly new.”

Ecclesiastes 1:19 New Living Translation

You are children of light; The Most High God, if you live in and abide in his ways of holiness and righteousness. The Creator wants all of his children to be pure in heart, mind, body, and intention. Those that are after The Creator’s heart do not desire to lie, nor do they make a habit of living a deceptive life. They tell the truth, the whole truth, and nothing but the truth. They are lights sitting on lamp stands shining bright for all to see the path on which they are walking.

“For you are the children of your father the devil, and you love to do the evil things he does. He was a murderer from the beginning. He has always hated the truth, because there is no truth in him. When he lies, it is consistent with his character; for he is a liar and the father of lies.”

John 8:44 New Living Translation

“No one lights a lamp and then puts it under a basket. Instead, a lamp is placed on a stand, where it gives light to everyone in the house.”

Matthew 5:15 New Living Translation

The facts of a case are established by two or three witnesses. The above-referenced verse is found in four places (Matthew 5:15, Mark 4:21, Luke 8:16, and Luke 11:33), each repeating the same truth. These scriptures or records are considered witnesses to the truth of The Creator’s words. These two movies are witnesses of the truth of The Creator’s words. My personal story, outlined in the post, “How Did I Get Here?” serves as a witness to the truth of The Creator’s words.

Daughters, my story is illuminated in the movies, The Color Purple and Harlem Nights. My story is juxtaposed with the story of Adam and Eve. My story is still living and breathing and still unfolding. My life is a living epistle as also seen in the characters of Genesis, Exodus, Deuteronomy, Leviticus, Numbers, Deuteronomy, Joshua, Judges, Ruth, 1st and 2nd Samuel, 1st and 2nd Kings, 1st and 2nd Chronicles, Ezra, Nehemiah, Esther, Job, Psalms, Proverbs, Ecclesiastes, Song of Songs, Isaiah, Jeremiah, Lamentations, Ezekiel, Daniel, Hosea, Joel, Amos, Obadiah, Jonah, Micah, Nahum, Habakkuk, Zephaniah, Haggai, Zechariah, Malachi, Matthew, Mark, Luke, John, Acts, Romans, 1st and 2nd Corinthians, Galatians, Ephesians, Philippians, Colossians, 1st and 2nd Thessalonians, 1st and 2nd Timothy, Titus, Philemon, Hebrews, James, 1st and 2nd Peter, 1st, 2nd, and 3rd John, Jude, and Revelation. And so is yours.

“But how can they call on him to save them unless they believe in him? And how can they believe in him if they have never heard about him? And how can they hear about him unless someone tells them?”

Romans 10:4 New Living Translation

And so shall it be.

P.S. Proof that spiritual and physical wars are active and strategic, and that deception can come in the form of distractions that come from those that appear to be messengers of light:

What do you mean by deceiving me like this?” Laban demanded. “How dare you drag my daughters away like prisoners of war

Truth And Nothing But The Truth: Step 2

Oyez, Oyez, Oyez…Save The Daughters!

A town crier dates back to the 18th century and is one who makes public pronouncements in the streets on behalf of the courts. Tradition esteems the town crier as one who rings a handbell and shouts the words “Oyez, Oyez, Oyez” before making the announcements. Oyez means “hear ye” which is a call for silence and attention. According to Wikipedia.org, the town crier tradition inspired the early beginnings of the newspaper. Thus, the term “posting a notice” derives from the town crier tradition. Temika Moore: Shining A Light With Pen And Mic is a reimagined 21st century town crier posting notices on behalf of the court of truth as commissioned by I AM, The King, The Creator, The Source, The Redeemer, and The Father to every woman asking, seeking, and knocking to know The Truth.

“And the serpent said unto the woman, Ye shall not surely die.”

Genesis 3:4 King James Version

Daughters, in step one I noted the washing process begins with confronting pain; confronting the original wound, the original hurt or the original disappointment. This is the pathway to access The Creator’s heart. This is the doorway to repentance with a contrite heart. From this place is where your soul communes in complete transparency and honesty with a true Father. Our Heavenly Father wants you to come before him with a heart that realizes it is broken. Only you and The Creator know the depth of your pain. Only The Creator can heal the root cause of your pain. Only The Redeemer can trace your pathology to the original disease that led to your heartache. The Creator is the God who reveals!

As I noted in my initial post “How Did I Get Here?” I explained how The Source of All Truth revealed to me my pathology. He went straight to the root. He took me back to my beginnings as a little girl growing up in Philadelphia. God is amazing! If your deepest desire is to know and seek Him, He will not let you remain in ignorance. In a dream one night I walked toward a window and twisted the handle to open the blinds. Upon opening the blinds, I saw my childhood neighbor. She was standing outside the window. As I walked away from the window in the opposite direction, I saw a man standing nearby. I didn’t see his face, but I could tell he was a guide. This man said very clearly, “hurry up and get out of here. I have someone coming.” As he was making this statement, I saw my second husband standing there to my left. I then proceed into a bathroom where I am sitting in a tub bathing. While bathing I see a little girl sitting on the toilet seat facing me while I was sitting in the tub. She and I are having a conversation, and then I suddenly see my first husband on my left attempting to squeeze into the tub. It seemed like an odd dream at the time. However, it would turn out to be a breadcrumb on a trail that was leading to the answers to my original question, “how did I get here?” I needed to know why I was fighting for my marriage alone? I needed to know why I felt abandoned? I needed to know how I arrived at the point of considering divorce? I needed to know how I arrived at the point of accepting “crumbs” from a married man? I had to know how entertaining an affair even became an option for me? I needed to know why I didn’t feel loved by my husband? I needed to know why the married man lied to me about his marital situation? I needed to know why my life was falling apart? I needed to know why my husband wasn’t fighting for us? I needed to know why I felt so alone in my marriage? I just needed to know why my heart was broken and no one could fix it? Upon asking The Source of All Truth these questions, the words “Psalms 51” appeared to me in a dream. Upon waking from the dream I opened my pink bible to this passage. This is what it said.

“To the chief Musician, A Psalm of David, when Nathan the prophet came unto him, after he had gone into Bath–Sheba. Have mercy on me, O God, because of your unfailing love. Because of your great compassion, blot out the stain of my sins. Wash me clean from my guilt. Purify me from my sin. For I recognize my rebellion; it haunts me day and night. Against you, and you alone, have I sinned; I have done what is evil in your sight. You will be proved right in what you say, and your judgment against me is just. For I was born a sinner— yes, from the moment my mother conceived me. But you desire honesty from the womb, teaching me wisdom even there. Purify me from my sins, and I will be clean; wash me, and I will be whiter than snow. Oh, give me back my joy again; you have broken me— now let me rejoice. Don’t keep looking at my sins. Remove the stain of my guilt. Create in me a clean heart, O God. Renew a loyal spirit within me. Do not banish me from your presence, and don’t take your Holy Spirit from me.

Psalms 51:1-19 New Living Translation

My heart was convicted. God was speaking directly to me. He witnessed my sin. He witnessed all the places I had been searching for Him, but to no avail. The Creator knew in whom and what I was really looking. He knew I wanted to feel love, but He knew He was the only one that could provide it in such a way that it would heal my original wound. That morning The Source of All Truth revealed himself to me. He introduced himself to me as a Father; the father I never had. He became to me what I desired most - a loving father. From that moment forward my Heavenly Father revealed to me that I needed to be “washed” so my broken heart could finally be healed by His true love. That day my Heavenly Father accepted the plea of my broken heart. He changed my mind about my life and my sin. He revealed to me the depths of what was really happening in the wilderness of my sin. He was revealing to me the spirit of His words. He was revealing truth leading me to repentance with a contrite heart. He opened my eyes to allow me to see clearly how much I hurt Him. He was no longer “the man upstairs” or an ambiguous spirit-guy in-the-sky. He revealed how low I actually thought of myself and how that contrasted with how He felt about me. There was a disconnect and He was prepping me for a long and arduous surgery. He was preparing to rebuild me. But first, He wanted me to see my sin the way He sees all sin -  as darkness, rebellion, and lawlessness. He wanted me to see what I was rebelling against, and the root issue of the laws I violated. This process opened my heart to ask The Father to forgive me, help others forgive me, and truly save me. Once I opened my mouth and told the truth about my life, confessed all my failures, and shared with Him every thought, feeling and emotion, I experienced real intimacy and became the daughter of The King.

“And have you forgotten the encouraging words God spoke to you as his children? He said, “My child, don’t make light of the Lord ’s discipline, and don’t give up when he corrects you. For the Lord disciplines those he loves, and he punishes each one he accepts as his child.” As you endure this divine discipline, remember that God is treating you as his own children. Whoever heard of a child who is never disciplined by its father? If God doesn’t discipline you as he does all of his children, it means that you are illegitimate and are not really his children at all. Since we respected our earthly fathers who disciplined us, shouldn’t we submit even more to the discipline of the Father of our spirits, and live forever? For our earthly fathers disciplined us for a few years, doing the best they knew how. But God’s discipline is always good for us, so that we might share in his holiness. No discipline is enjoyable while it is happening—it’s painful! But afterward, there will be a peaceful harvest of right living for those who are trained in this way.

Hebrews 12:5-11 New Living Translation

When you don’t know the Creator’s commands you lose things. When you violate His commands you die; figuratively and literally. Your death can either be immediate or protracted. Either way, the result of sin is death. The death of trust, peace, joy, respect, love, faith, hope, dreams, prosperity, and everything you deem valuable. Death is final. You can never go back to who you were before. You can only become a new person that now possesses new knowledge of both good and evil. You now carry the burden of having this new level of knowledge. Our sister Eve’s experience still speaks to us today. I’m sure she looked back many days beating herself up for entertaining a conversation with the serpent. She probably looked back ruminating for years wishing she had really understood The Creator’s instruction about not eating from the Tree of the Knowledge of Good and Evil. In hindsight, I’m sure Eve wished she hadn’t relied on Adam to know The Creator’s instructions. I’m sure she wished she would have known how cunning and deceptive an adversarial spirit can be. I’m sure she wished she knew the depths that an adversary can go to destroy you and those you love. I’m sure Eve felt the gravity of her experience when she and Adam were escorted out of the Garden of Eden because of disobedience. I’m sure she often lamented in retrospect thinking about the life she and Adam had before that fatal day the serpent planned his attack. It’s not fruitful to look back. Lot’s wife turning into a pillar of salt after looking back while fleeing Sodom and Gomorrah is proof that looking back causes further loss. However, our Heavenly Father is a strategic thinker and planner. He knows the beginning from the end. He knew us in our mother’s wombs, and He knew who would be called to be his children. The fall of Eve and Adam in the Garden is an image of the consequences of only “hearing” The Creator’s words, but not fully knowing them. Ignorance, naivety, and reliance upon another person to provide or interpret The Creator’s instructions is a doorway to beguilement from an adversarial spirit. Daughters, today, please hear these words and do not harden your hearts. This is your alarm. Wake up to the beguiling nature of sin. It often arrives cloaked as harmless, and uniquely crafted to appeal to your deepest desires. Eve’s descent began with a conversation. Seemingly innocent conversations are time-tested entryways for an adversarial spirit. This is why Yeshua is so very vital to redemption. Yeshua became a mediator for the fallen. He became a mediator for the beguiled. In a court of law, a mediator is one who moderates the conversation of two opposing parties. The mediator knows the facts of the case, and expertly guides open communication to help both parties arrive at an agreement. This mediation process amends the death pronouncement. A new life is available. Therefore, every daughter in the midst of a beguiling conversation has a highly qualified arbiter working toward a sustaining agreement with The Creator.

Agree with The Creator. Agree to be washed. Receive your redemption. Agree to The Creator’s terms. Receive your healing.

Agree with The Creator. Agree to be washed. Receive your redemption. Agree to The Creator’s terms. Receive your healing.

Agree with The Creator. Agree to be washed. Receive your redemption. Agree to The Creator’s terms. Receive your healing.

When the watchman sees the enemy coming, he sounds the alarm to warn the people. Then if those who hear the alarm refuse to take action, it is their own fault if they die. They heard the alarm but ignored it, so the responsibility is theirs. If they had listened to the warning, they could have saved their lives. But if the watchman sees the enemy coming and doesn’t sound the alarm to warn the people, he is responsible for their captivity. They will die in their sins, but I will hold the watchman responsible for their deaths.’ “Now, son of man, I am making you a watchman for the people of Israel. Therefore, listen to what I say and warn them for me. If I announce that some wicked people are sure to die and you fail to tell them to change their ways, then they will die in their sins, and I will hold you responsible for their deaths. But if you warn them to repent and they don’t repent, they will die in their sins, but you will have saved yourself. “Son of man, give the people of Israel this message: You are saying, ‘Our sins are heavy upon us; we are wasting away! How can we survive?’ As surely as I live, says the Sovereign Lord , I take no pleasure in the death of wicked people. I only want them to turn from their wicked ways so they can live. Turn! Turn from your wickedness, O people of Israel! Why should you die? “Son of man, give your people this message: The righteous behavior of righteous people will not save them if they turn to sin, nor will the wicked behavior of wicked people destroy them if they repent and turn from their sins. When I tell righteous people that they will live, but then they sin, expecting their past righteousness to save them, then none of their righteous acts will be remembered. I will destroy them for their sins. And suppose I tell some wicked people that they will surely die, but then they turn from their sins and do what is just and right. For instance, they might give back a debtor’s security, return what they have stolen, and obey my life-giving laws, no longer doing what is evil. If they do this, then they will surely live and not die. None of their past sins will be brought up again, for they have done what is just and right, and they will surely live. O people of Israel, you are saying, ‘The Lord isn’t doing what’s right.’ But I judge each of you according to your deeds.” But if wicked people turn from their wickedness and do what is just and right, they will live. “Your people are saying, ‘The Lord isn’t doing what’s right,’ but it is they who are not doing what’s right. For again I say, when righteous people turn away from their righteous behavior and turn to evil, they will die. 'When the watchman sees the enemy coming, he sounds the alarm to warn the people. They say to each other, ‘Come on, let’s go hear the prophet tell us what the Lord is saying!’ So my people come pretending to be sincere and sit before you. They listen to your words, but they have no intention of doing what you say. Their mouths are full of lustful words, and their hearts seek only after money. You are very entertaining to them, like someone who sings love songs with a beautiful voice or plays fine music on an instrument. They hear what you say, but they don’t act on it! But when all these terrible things happen to them—as they certainly will—then they will know a prophet has been among them.”

So Others May Eat: Letter 1

Oyez, Oyez, Oyez…Save The Daughters!

A town crier dates back to the 18th century, and is one who makes public pronouncements in the streets on behalf of the courts.

In a dream one night I heard the words “Temika, you are broken. You need help.” These were the words I heard after getting engaged for a second time. At the time I did not have a full interpretation of this dream. It would take almost four years for me to understand fully why I had that dream and what it meant. I will reveal to you what The Source of All Truth revealed to me about that engagement, along with insights on my marriage(s) in an upcoming post. However, on January 6, 2019, the Holy Spirit directed me to write this post. The Creator, Source of All Truth is serious about rescuing and redeeming women from the original curse brought about by naivety and the subtlety of deception.  I heard in my spirit these words, “the adversary’s reign is done.” I also heard the words “It is finished.” The Source of All Truth was leading me to remove the powers of shame, guilt, condemnation, and darkness by “displaying my sin on a cross” for all to see in the same manner Yeshua was hung on a cross; bloody, beaten and battered for all to see. Sin is not pretty. Sin is costly. Sin is a bloody business. Sin is death. Death can be short or it can be protracted. But the fact still remains, sin has a judgment day. The Creator’s words are true. His written word, as outlined in the book we know as the Bible, is a tool for restoring the earth to the original state The Creator intended.

“Every part of Scripture is God-breathed and useful one way or another—showing us [the] truth, exposing our rebellion, correcting our mistakes, training us to live God’s way. Through the Word we are put together and shaped up for the tasks God has for us.”

2 Timothy 3:16-17 The Message Version

In my deliverance, I have been purposed with helping to deliver others. I am likened to the abolitionist Harriet Tubman leading those who desire to escape the bondage of living in the lower states to living in the freedom of the higher states. The business of rescue often involves risking one’s life to save others. Over the next several posts you will have an opportunity to glean my process of repentance, deliverance, and redemption. These posts are entitled, So Others Might Eat. The Hebrew word for “eat” is ʼâkal. It means to consume, take in, digest, devour, and slay. I share The Creator’s instructions, words, revelations, insights, unveiling, and discoveries for the benefit of providing sustenance to anyone who is hungry. A feast has been prepared. The table is set. Through these posts, you are invited to dine with the presence of a Holy Creator. This is Holy Communion. Bread will be broken (i.e. God’s word’s divided, separated, and processed), and wine shared (i.e. the fruit of character produced by being pressed into digestible liquid form), all done in remembrance of the Savior and Deliverer, Yeshua/Jesus/Immanuel/Son of Man/The Anointed, and Sacrificial Teacher.

Hello:

I am reaching out to you because I love you. I love you as my sister. I love you because The Most High God said that all of his commandments are on display in following these two instructions:

1. Love God with all your will, intellect and emotions; AND

2. Love your neighbor as yourself.

Matthew 22:37-40 New Living Translation

He said if we do these two things, we have actually fulfilled all of his commandments. He also said to “owe nothing to anyone—except for your obligation to love one another.” Romans 13:8 (New Living Translation) Well, I have a debt I must pay to you. I am heavy with the weight of carrying this message, so I will cut to the chase.

Many years ago, in my ignorance and my own trauma and unresolved pain I had an affair with your spouse. It was the darkest period of my life. As a former spouse myself, I know you know the darkness and pain of an empty or failing marriage. That emptiness and darkness can lead one to places they never thought they would find themselves; even those who “seem” like they are believers in the true and living God. Well, I believed I was. But I wasn’t. When you love God with all your will, intellect and emotions, you don’t have an affair; you go to The Most High God when you can’t get your spouse to “see you” or talk to you. I failed. I remember going to my spouse to tell him I was feeling vulnerable the moment I realized I was in dangerous and inappropriate territory with your spouse. I was hoping my spouse could help save our marriage. I was hoping he could save me from the loneliness I was feeling in our marriage. Crickets is what I got. I remember the only thing he asked me was “Did you sleep with him?” I said do you want to go down this path? I will tell you whatever you want to know; I will not lie to you. I asked, however, are you ready to do the same with me? Once again it was crickets. I was told “whatever you’ve done is between you and God and whatever I’ve done is between me and God.” That was the beginning of the end of our marriage and it took less than a year from that point to unravel. It unraveled because it was never built on the right foundation in the first place. A crack in the foundation will eventually give way; even it takes 20 years for it to be demolished. I say all this to say, The Most High God is amazing. He knew us in our mother’s womb. So he knew the trials we’d bear. It has been an arduous process to come full circle to heal the original traumas that led to the darkness that opened a door for me to have an affair with your spouse. I am deeply saddened at the depth of my sin and how I hurt you, my neighbor, my sister.

My sister, with everything in me and with tremendous humility given by the spirit of the true and living God, I ask for your forgiveness and your family’s forgiveness. I know it has been many years and I have no desire to cause upset in your home. I want to share with you what The Most High God told me through the experience of failing. The Lord is serious about establishing his kingdom on earth. He is very serious about calling people to a higher standard. He says you will reap what you sow. He is real and that statement is true. He does not care how long it has been since you committed an infraction of character - sin. He will call everyone that seeks after him to the mat. He calls our consciences to be pure and clear before him so we can hear him speak. My God does he speak!!!!!!!! And his words are clear and it is sharper than a two edged sword; cutting through the very heart of the way in which a person is built. I’m analytical and I ask God to show me how  I had gotten to the state that I would  accept the crumbs of an affair. Clearly, I was broken and did not know the truth. He is true when he says when the spirit of truth comes, it will teach you what you need to know and that truth will set you free.

One night in my sleep while dreaming, I was told to read Psalms 51. My God was he speaking loud and clear! Read it when you have a moment. It will make things clear. I had read many Psalms in my life, but never saw that one; neither had I ever received a clearer instruction.  It was clear what he was asking me to do. Repent - change your mind about your sin. See it as I see it. He hates sin. I hate my sin. Did I say hate? I am repulsed by the fact that darkness was in me, although I thought I was a “good person.” But he says if you come to me he is faithful to cleanse us of unrighteousness and set us on a firm foundation. He has been doing that and it has culminated in the last instruction he is requiring of me before I can close the door to the ways in which an adversarial spirit would attempt to use against me to put me in a dark, shameful, condemned regretful place. These are the emotions that provide a doorway for the enemy to temp us. He showed me no one is exempt from temptation; even the so called “good people.”

Please forgive me for my ignorance. Please forgive me for my lack of love. Please forgive me for hurting you. Please forgive me for stealing. Please forgive me for participating in a process an adversarial spirit uses to steal trust in relationships. We are all connected. What one person does, does in fact affect other people even if the world says it doesn’t matter. It does matter. If we want to live in peace with ourselves, our spouses, our families and God we must draw close to him to search, know and experience real intimacy with God. Intimacy with God draws you to him and not the arms of another person who is not your spouse. These were his instructions to me. My marriage did not end because of this affair.  The affair was a conduit, and your spouse was as a messenger; an angel. An angel is a messenger; be it good or bad. It is my hope your marriage is in a good place, healed or in the process of healing. I hope this message strengthens you. I don’t know if you should share my contact with you through this message with your spouse. I defer to the spirit of God to help you navigate that terrain. It is my hope peace and love will  prevail and will endure. It is my prayer your heart can receive my apology. If not, I understand. Forgiveness is a process. God says he is faithful to forgive us of all of our sins. However, he wants us to know the healing process is delayed or held up the longer we take. I know this from first hand experience. I’ve had to do a lot of forgiving of my parents, family members, and myself. This is where it has most difficult because I never thought I was capable of falling so low or failing so miserably. I am, and I did. So, I send this message to you in humble sincerity and thankfulness that The Most High God loved me enough to rescue me from ignorance so that I might share this with you. It’s been painful. But I’m thankful that God can restore truth to lives. He can rebuild broken and cracked foundations. I held in my heart maybe one day my husband would soften his heart toward God as well and repair what was broken from the beginning that led us to the dark place. I don’t know. But I see all of us through a different lens. God is extremely patient with us and wants all of us to come into the knowledge of who He truly is. It’s a process. I pray I have reached out to you at a time in your life and in the part of your life process that can receive these words with the spirit of me and God’s intent - love.

And so it shall be.

“Be careful to obey all the commands I am giving you today. Then you will live and multiply, and you will enter and occupy the land the Lord swore to give your ancestors. Remember how the Lord your God led you through the wilderness for these forty years, humbling you and testing you to prove your character, and to find out whether or not you would obey his commands. Yes, he humbled you by letting you go hungry and then feeding you with manna, a food previously unknown to you and your ancestors. He did it to teach you that people do not live by bread alone; rather, we live by every word that comes from the mouth of the Lord.”

Deuteronomy 8:1-3 New Living Translation
